Date:
Thursday, February 5th, 2015 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Location:
OIC of Washington meeting room | 815 Fruitvale Boulevard | Yakima, WA 98902

Yakima training bannerIn partnership with the YWCA of Yakima, Firesteel and the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance are offering a free workshop to help advocates in Yakima use digital tools to spark change.

We will take participants through social media and advocacy basics, and also dive into deeper level strategy and tactics with those who crave more. The Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day may be on the other side of the mountains, but thanks to technology, that doesn’t need to stop you from advocating from Yakima! Whether you have questions about Facebook and Twitter, or are interested in learning more about Skype and Google+ Hangouts as options for meeting with your legislators, this is an opportunity for us all to strengthen our advocacy efforts. Lunch and networking will take place from 12-12:30, followed by training from 12:30-2.

Lunch will be provided!
